Top 10 Things to Do in St George

Welcome to St George! It’s such a fun place to be!

While it’s hard to come up with the best things to do here, I’ve created the top 10 that people love to do the most.

#1 – Pioneer Park/Dixie Rock

By far the top thing to do in St George. This unique park is a natural playground and hike all in one! Explore the red rocks, see amazing views, and enjoy all the hidden places it has to offer. See if you can find: The Sugarloaf, The Narrows, Boy Scout Cave & the Mini Arch

#2 – Thunder Junction All Abilities Park

Ranked a top park nationwide, this all abilities park offers so much to see, play, and do! Ride the train for $2 a person, play around in the splash pad, or let your kids run around and explore in this dinosaurs themed park.

#3 – Downtown Splash pad & Town Square

With so much to offer around Town Square, we love to play at the Splash pad (typically on from March – October), ride the carousel for $2 per person, run around on the lush grass, and enjoy shopping at Judds General Store or the many local shops downtown.

#4 – Virgin River & Fossil Falls Park

We love to swim and play in the Virgin River, and it just got so much better with the new addition of Fossil Falls Park. This amazing park has a concrete slide, climbing, swinging and lots in between. Walk down the path a little to have access to the Virgin River to skimboard and play!

#5 – Snake Hollow Bike Park

Great for bikers of all skill levels, this unique park offers mountain biking type terrain, as well as fun bmx pump tracks around the park.

# 6 – Snow Canyon State Park

The best kept secret of southern Utah! So many amazing hikes and places to explore in snow canyon. But a day pass for $15 non local, or $10 local.

#7 – Mayors Loop Bike and Walking Trail

This beautiful trail is a full 5.3 mile loop and is great for running, biking, and electric scooters and bikes. The views are beautiful and we love all the different landscapes of St George you can see.

#8 – Canyon Park (Ninja Park)

Bring out your inner ninja by racing through an obstacle course, 40 yd dash, or on 2 hillside slides. This park is great for older kids who have a lot of energy to use!

The perfect place to paddleboard or kayak without the worry of boats and lots of crowds. This quiet Reservoir is so fun for an afternoon of swimming.

#10 – Red Hills Desert Garden

Located next to Pioneer Park and Dixie Rock, this beautiful garden is great for a morning, midday or evening walk. Come back during the Halloween and Christmas season for a scarecrow display and amazing light display!
